With the NFL draft last night, I think football is on our brains. Even though football season doesn’t start for a few more months, we’re all pretty excited right? Johnny Football looked humbled last night for the first time in his life. Does Cleveland have a lot more fans suddenly?

So, now is the time to talk about a Football party. Why? Because it’s the F week in our list. So there.

Actually, “Football” is an incredibly popular party theme. This is especially true in the fall and early winter seasons, running through around the first weekend in February (plus or minus a week, depending on the Super Bowl schedule).

So let’s look at some ideas, shall we? We have three awesome party examples.

Football Party 7th 1

Football Party 7th 2

These first two images are from an amazing birthday party for a 7 year old. How cool is this brown and green football theme (and how easy to pull off, right?). I LOVE the cupcakes that look like grass, and I love how they’re set amongst chocolate covered raisins or peanuts. The variety of printable cupcake toppers is great, too. And the classic sweets – Hershey’s mini’s with custom wrappers, Tootsie Rolls, Caramel Squares, etc. – are perfect!

Football Party 60th 2

Football Party 60th 1Now we have some cool party pics from a 60th party. I LOVE the brown, blue and white rock candy in those cups – they are the perfect masculine colors to accompany a party like this.

And, did you ever realize how strawberries are the perfect shape to make chocolate footballs with? Yeah, great idea!

And just in case you were thinking that football parties are just for boys, well – you’re wrong! Girls like football parties too. But they have to be dolled up for us, you know? Take a look at these Girly Football pics from our friends at Soiree Event Design:

Screen Shot 2014-05-09 at 7.43.35 PMWOW – what a stunner! Who knew that footballs went so well with pink sparkly things! For real, though – girly football is a trend these days. And this pink + football motif makes a great co-ed and even adult party theme. Think of how much fun tailgating would be if it was styled like this?
