One of my all-time favorite activities at Easter time is decorating eggs. I have so many fond memories from childhood with my sister and I sitting at the kitchen table dutifully dying our eggs in vinegar-smelling water and ohhhing and ahhhing over each other’s masterful creations. I’m realizing now how uncrafty we were, especially since there are so many other fun (and less messy) ways to beautifully decorate Easter eggs..
Lil Sugar came out with an amazing slideshow of really awesome kid friendly crafts that you can make with Peeps this Easter. These are all adorable and super easy to make. I think my sweet tooth just exploded in my mouth looking at these pictures of Cadbury Creme Egg Brownies (or wait, maybe I have a cavity from eating all this Easter candy too early …) Just look at them- sweet, gooey chocolately homemade brownies each with a half shell of Cadbury Creme Egg goodness tucked inside. I’m not sure plain brownies will ever look the same to me again after.

She designed all the party printables herself and tied all the food/snacks into the same color scheme..

Check out this adorable birthday party for a 3-year-old boy featuring Firemen and Fire trucks! How cute is this decor, these desserts and this whole theme all together? One of the things I really love about this are how the candy and desserts tie into the theme: Twizzlers for “Fireman’s.
Today is 3/14, which means it’s National Pi Day (3.14 … get it?)! Delish.com put it best, let’s celebrate the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter by indulging in its nearest edible equivalent – pie! Since it’s not quite “berry” season, we’re steering clear of berry-based pies and focusing on decadent, creamy, delicious chocolate-based pies! So, let’s get to it – here are links to recipes.
