Fun Passover recipe for the kiddies!

Were you too late in purchasing your Passover chocolates this year? Not to worry!

According to www.kidscooking.about.com, here is an easy recipe for the kiddies to whip up at home for the Seder.

This recipe for chocolate covered Matzoh is easy enough for kids to make (provided you help with handling the hot caramel sauce and the oven). A sprinkling of kosher salt gives this chocolate Matzoh recipe that delightfully appealing sweet-and-salty taste. It’s sure to be a big hit at your Seder!

Ingredients:

3-4 boards Matzoh
3/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 cups semisweet or dark chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts, hazelnuts or pecans (optional)
1/2 tsp. kosher salt or sea salt

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray.
Spread the Matzohs in the pan in a single layer, breaking them to fit if necessary.
Heat the margarine and brown sugar in a medium saucepan to a boil. Pour evenly over Matzoh, spreading with a knife to make sure the Matzoh is well covered.
Bake 10-12 minutes. Turn the oven off and remove the Matzoh.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the Matzoh. Return to the oven. Let it sit in the warm (TURNED OFF) oven for 2 minutes. Remove and spread the chocolate evenly with a
knife.
Top with nuts, if using. Sprinkle with kosher salt.

Enjoy!
